What is Xeomin®?

Xeomin® is an injectable treatment for lines and wrinkles that are caused by contractions of the muscles when you use facial expressions. These wrinkles are unique because they do not respond to other types of injectable treatments. Dr. Rothaus may recommend Xeomin® for:

What is the Procedure for Xeomin®?

Using a very small needle, Dr. Rothaus injects Xeomin® into the muscles that cause your dynamic wrinkles. This temporarily relaxes the muscle, and you can still make facial expressions. Full results may take a few days and may last four to six months. Dr. Rothaus recommends maintenance treatments every four months to maintain the results.

What is the Recovery like After Xeomin®?

Xeomin® does not require any special recovery. You may experience some minor symptoms around each injection site, such as pinpoint bleeding, tenderness, swelling, and light bruising. The symptoms typically last only one to two days. You should avoid rubbing or massaging the area.
