What Is Sofwave^TM?

Sofwave^TM is an FDA-cleared skin rejuvenation device that uses a unique high-frequency, low-divergence ultrasound beam which precisely targets the mid-dermal layer of the skin. This ultrasound energy delivers heat to the targeted area, triggering collagen production and remodeling. In addition, the existing collagen structure is tightened, creating a natural lifting and firming effect over time. Sofwave^TM can be used all over the body including the face, neck, arms and abdomen to tighten loose skin caused by aging, weight loss or GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic.

What Is The Procedure Like?

An evaluation of your skin will be performed during your initial consultation, along with a physical examination of your concerns and target areas. There will be a discussion of your goals, which will help to determine the best treatment plan. Although typically not needed for Sofwave^TM treatments, we can apply topical anesthesia to the area for 20-30 minutes beforehand to numb the skin. Then the procedure begins with applying ultrasound gel to the targeted area and the device tip is moved throughout the area until the desired energy delivery is achieved. During the treatment we use a Zimmer cooling fan that blows cold air over the treatment area which helps to minimize any heat that is felt ensuring your comfort. The entire procedure can take 30-45 minutes, depending on how many areas are being treated.
