Dr. Rothaus, specialist completed both his surgical internship and residency at the prestigious Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He then went on to a residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. Also completing a microsurgical fellowship at the University of Louisville, Dr. Rothaus passed the rigorous examinations required to become board certified in plastic surgery in 1982.
Dr. Rothaus shares his extensive knowledge of plastic surgery in his capacity as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Cornell University Medical College. He is also an Assistant Attending Physician at The New York Hospital and a Visiting Associate Physician at The Rockefeller University Hospital. Dr. Rothaus' professional memberships include the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), The American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Society of Hair Restoration, and the New York State Medical Society. As a member of these societies, Dr. Rothaus stays abreast of the latest cosmetic and reconstructive techniques, enabling him to offer the best service to his patients.
